Russia-Ukraine War

On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine to "demilitarize and de-Nazify" the nation, just as the world was beginning to recover from the effects of the Covid pandemic. According to Western officials, the conflict may have been Europe's biggest since 1945 in terms of scale. During the emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly, Russia was suspended from the UN Human Rights Council with 93 votes in favor. India abstained from voting. As of December 2022, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) confirmed approximately 6.7 thousand civilian fatalities in Ukraine due to the conflict. The Russia-Ukraine war disrupted the global supply chain so much that most of the world faced a shortage of a basic food staple, wheat, let’s see what more does it bring in the future.
