Saudi Arabia's first female astronaut, Rayyana Barnawi, is set to travel to space this year in a historic move that reflects the country's attempts to move away from its conservative reputation. Barnawi will be accompanied by fellow Saudi, Ali Al-Qarni, on a 10-day mission to the International Space Station. The pair will travel aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, as part of a mission by private space company, Axiom Space.
